Hello Kids,
For those who didnt come to our Christmas celebration on 21st Dec 2008, here are some photos taken during the celebration.
It all took place in Sunday School 1 class (Joy class) for worship and Christmas story before the class is splitted to two for games. :)
The Christmas story was read by Kak Mirtha, accompanied by Shadow Puppet (in Indonesia we call shadow puppet as Wayang) :). The story evolves around three camels (I really forgot their names). Their masters are three wise-men who came from distant country to see baby Jesus. The camels was loaded with gold, frankincense, and myrrh, therefore they are guessing each other that they will be brought to visit a king. (Besides overheard the conversations among their masters too).
They visitted a palace, but then the gifts werent given to anyone in the palace. They visited very big and grand temple but again none receive the gifts. Only when they came to a small house, then the masters bowed down and presented the gifts to.........a baby! How come the baby ? not a king? How come a small house? not palace or grand temple ? It is because God humble himself to take a form of simple human to reach all of us. It might not be easy for us to approach Him if He come as a King who stay in palace or as God who stays in Temple. That's the blessings of Christmas. :)
